Dr. Hayk Snkhtchyan has been a Michigan resident for a majority of his life. He comes from a strong background of dentistry with his grandfather being a dentist himself as well as his father being a dental lab technician. He attended Oakland University where he majored in a bachelors of science in biology. He then pursued his passion for dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where he earned his D.D.S.
Dr. was born in Yerevan, Armenia, but destiny led him to the U.S. with his family at 7 years old. As a child and teenager Dr. Hayk was embarrassed of his teeth and had a lot of dental work that needed to be done and believe it or not he was not a fan of the dentist with fear of pain or of being criticized for the state of his teeth.
That all changed when he met the one dentist that helped him overcome his fear through compassion, care and education. That is where Dr. Hayk became interested in dentistry and experienced first hand the impact it can have on a persons’ life. Ever since then he has had a passion to help people restore their smiles and confidence through compassion, care and education just as had been done for him. Dr. Hayk strongly believes that his dental office is a safe space for his patients to come to without worry or fear of being judged no matter the reason.
Inspired by the dentist that cared for him, Dr. Hayk is excited to care for, guide and educate his patients towards fantastic oral health.
Dr. Danjel Popaj graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, ranking within the top 10 of his graduating class. Dr. Popaj was born and raised in Albania, Southeast Europe. He moved to Windsor, Canada in 2013 to attend the University of Windsor where he earned a degree in Biological Sciences. In 2020, he moved to Michigan to attend the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
Dr. Popaj is passionate about serving his Albanian community, speaking both English and Albanian, and has a keen interest on building interpersonal relationships with all his patients.
Dr. Popaj recently got married to his wife, Zana, who is a Physician Assistant through Henry Ford, West Bloomfield. He loves travelling and has previously visited Italy, Austria, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Portugal, and South Africa. Dr. Popaj spends his time watching and playing soccer – his favorite team is A.C. Milan out of Italian Serie A. Dr. Popaj loves trying new coffee places, so feel free to share any of your suggestions with him.
